PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize predetermined shutoff operation, in addition, to enable selection of usage region by changing the timing of the shutoff operation. SOLUTION: In the shutoff valve 1, a spool 15 is housed in an axial core part in a valve housing slidably in an axial direction of the valve housing, and is slid against spring force of an energizing spring 16 to thereby prevent oil from passing through in the valve housing when hydraulic pressure beyond a set point acts on a pressure receiving surface. The shutoff valve is designed so that the spool 15 is formed into a cylindrical shape having a bottom part 15a as the pressure receiving surface while having, in a cylinder portion 15b, bored orifices O1, O2 for generating differential pressure between inner and outer peripheral sides when the cylinder portion 15b is communicated, and that the valve housing is divided into two bodies (11, 12) to be able to axially expand and contract by screwing operation from outside, furthermore, provided is a shielding part 12e which can close the orifices O1, O2 bored in the spool 15 from the outer peripheral side.
