SOLUTION: A pilaster-section design assisting device and its program have a storage means, in which the assumed sectional information of a pilaster section as a design object is stored, an input means inputting information for selecting an assumed cross section, a means extracting assumed sectional information from the storage means on the basis of input information, a stress- information input means inputting the stress information of the pilaster section and a strength testing means testing strength on the basis of input stress information and the strength of the extracted assumed cross section.
