PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car stop which can stop traveling of an automobile even if the automobile moving at a low speed collides therewith with great force. SOLUTION: The car stop 10 set in a parking area is comprised of a roller 20, and bearers 31, 32 which rotatably bear the roller 20. When the roller 20 makes contact with a peripheral portion of a driving wheel of the automobile, it is rotated by rotation of the driving wheel of the automobile. The car stop is provided with a friction member 34 for applying friction to the rotation of the roller 20. The car stop is further provided with a helical compression spring 35 for energizing the roller 20 in a direction of the friction member 34.
