PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet of high quality, which generates spangles having an equal diameter on the surface, prevents the irregularity of the spangles, and reduces the generation of spangle failures by controlling the size of the above spangles, when hot-dip galvanizing a steel sheet. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is characterized by controlling a deposited amount through spraying gas onto the surface of the steel strip which has been drawn up from a hot-dip galvanizing bath 14, arranging an air pad 21 on both sides of the steel strip S, and cooling the steel strip S with liquid mists 22 while stably passing the steel strip S among them, to adjust the spangle diameter on the galvanized surface.
