PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an optical disk is provided to easily cut an inevitably generated bump by a punching machine in the case of manufacturing a transmitting layer by a spin coating, and maintain write and/or read performance of the optical disk. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical disk includes the steps of preparing a substrate(100) having a diameter larger than a diameter of a disk to be finally manufactured, rotating the substrate at high speed by dropping an ultraviolet curing resin on the substrate, forming a transmitting layer(110) in a predetermined thickness having a bump(110a) at an outer periphery part of the transmitting layer by curing the ultraviolet curing resin, and cutting the bump.
