ENVIRONMENT-PROTECTING PAPER CUP AND ITS LID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-protecting paper cup and its lid which have a bioderadable coating made of a natural material applied on an internal surface of a paper base and which are easy to peel, sealable to fill a step at a seam and applicable to a filling machine. SOLUTION: The environment-protecting paper cup 2 has a flange 21 and a biodegradable coating 22 made of a natural material applied at least to an internal surface. The lid 1 has a paper layer 12, a dampproof layer 14 and an easy-to-peel layer 16 in this sequence wherein a surface of the layer 16 is sealed on the flange 21. The dampproof layer 14 is made of a natural-gum- based coating comprising a natural gum, an ester gum or the like. The easy-to- peel layer 16 is made of a biodegradable shellac resin coating made of a natural material.
