PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure running stability of a V-ribbed belt and extend service life by eliminating dropping of the V-ribbed belt to a pulley. SOLUTION: Rib tips of a plurality of ribs 4 and rib side surfaces continuing to the rib tips are brought into contact with the bottoms of pulley grooves 7 and side surfaces continuing to the bottoms in belt running.
