PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical roofed roof structure with excellent construction workability and its construction method for securing and maintaining a high waterproof function at a low cost. SOLUTION: A rainwater gutter 10 serving as a clip is arranged between roofing materials 2 adjacently arranged on a sheathing roof board 1. A subassembly is formed by previously assembling a cover fixing bracket 11 and a rainwater gutter fixing bracket 12 to the rainwater gutter 10 serving as the clip, and the subassembly is fixed onto the sheathing roof board 1 at a predetermined pitch. The cover fixing bracket 11 is provided with a fitted part 11a to a fitting part 13a in a cover 13, while the rainwater gutter 10 serving the clip is provided with a fitted part 10a to a fitting part 2a in the roofing material 2.
