PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an illumination display by direct colors without interposing a color filter printed with colors when performing the illumination display of a shift position for a traveling shift in a vehicle. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of first and second light sources 10 and 11 constituted of light emitting diodes for emitting light of different colors, first and second light guiding plates 8 and 9 for introducing light of each of the light sources 10 and 11, and a display plate 12 provided with projecting parts 12a and 12b for performing the illumination display of shift symbols by light reflected by reflecting surface parts 8d to 8g, 9b and 9c of the light guiding plates 8 and 9, to perform the direct illumination display.
