PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone joining instrument capable of performing screwing and removing work without causing the problems that the head of a bone joining hollow screw is broken, a removing tool is detached from the bone joining hollow screw, and the body of the bone joining hollow screw is broken, and easily discriminating the type of the screw from the appearance of the bone joining hollow screw in radiography. SOLUTION: The side of the head of this bone joining hollow screw is provided with a flat surface, whereby the appearance of the side is varied to discriminate the type of the screw from the appearance of the bone joining hollow screw even in radiography so that the tool can be easily selected, and the bone joining hollow screw and the removing tool are constituted to stabilize the engagement of the side of the screw head and the outer pipe part of the removing tool and to engage an insert port of the screw head with the insert part of the removing tool.
