<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage treatment apparatus by which water to be treated can be stably and efficiently treated and deodorized by recovering rapidly the total amount of organisms in a carrier fluidized tank and a filtration tank even when it is decreased, and its operating method. SOLUTION: This sewage treatment apparatus is provided with a flow control tank N2 for regulating the flow rate of the water to be treated, the carrier fluidized tank E1 accommodating microorganism-carrying carriers C1 that can be fluidized together with the water to be treated and having an aeration unit D1 supplying air bubbles to the carriers C to carry out aerobic treatment, the filtration tank E2 disposed on the downstream side of the carrier fluidized tank E1 and having a deposited filter layer R formed by settling and depositing a plurality of carriers C2 therein, an airlift pump A2 for transferring the water to be treated and sludge in the filtration tank E2, and a sludge concentrating storage tank Y for storing the transferred sludge. In the sewage treatment tank, an airlift pump A3 capable of transferring the water to be treated and sludge flowing out from the carrier fluidizing tank E1, to the flow control tank N2 is installed.</p> |
