PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing capable of stopping the whirl of a supporting shaft with respect to an arm body and stably rotating a knob for gripping and holding rotatably supported on the supporting shaft. SOLUTION: This reel for fishing comprises an arm body 2 protruded to one side of the reel body 1 and rotatably supported on the reel body 1 and further the knob 4 for gripping and holding rotatably supported through the supporting shaft 3 and bearings 5 and 6 on one lateral end of the arm body 2 and prevented from slipping off with a screw 7. A through-hole 2a and a whirl-stop part 2b are formed at one lateral end of the arm body 2. In the supporting shaft 3, a flange part 3b, a whirl-stop part 3c and a circular cross-sectional fitting part 3d are formed in one side of the axial part 3a and a screw hole 3e is formed in the other side thereof. The whirl-stop part 2b and the whirl-stop part 3c are respectively formed into a noncircular oval shape. The knob 4 for gripping and holding has a through-hole 4b formed in the center of a cylindrical gripping part 4a and recessed parts 4c and 4d formed at both ends of the through-hole 4b. Stepped parts are formed of the recessed parts 4c and 4d.
