PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mill capable of milling a large volume of works in a short time by applying the motion in the vertical direction to balls charged in a milling chamber to reliably perform the reciprocating motion in the longitudinal direction of a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: This mill comprises a drum body 2 comprising an inlet 7 for taking in the works provided on one end part and an outlet 8 for discharging the milled works provided on the other end part, the rotary shaft 3 piercing the drum body in the longitudinal direction of the drum body 2, partition members 4 which are fitted to the rotary shaft 3 in an inclined manner to the rotary shaft, and demarcate the drum body to form a plurality of milling chambers 11 communicating with each other within the drum body, and milling balls 5 of the required number charged in the milling chambers. The milling balls 5 are repeatedly raised and dropped by the rotation of the partition members 4, and reciprocated in the longitudinal direction of the rotary shaft 3.
