PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method for a washing machine which can remove foul inside a water tank, or the like, by performing a mist-based water supply during the final dehydrating period. SOLUTION: The water tank 3 is rockably hoisted in an outer box 1 and a scanning tub 5 with a rotary blade 4 is rotatably arranged on a bottom part within the water tank 3. A mist supplying device 15 is provided at an upper part of the tub 5 and the processes of supplying water, washing, rinsing and dehydrating are automatically carried on. In the operation control method for the washing machine thus arranged, a process is contained to make the scanning tub 5 rotate being supplied with mist-based water from the mist supplying device 15 during the dehydrating process.
