PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the remainder of a range side lobe caused by a movement of a tissue between rates in an ultrasonograph adopting a phase encoding pulse compression method. SOLUTION: This ultrasonograph is provided with a unit 15 for receiving a first received signal by transmitting an ultrasonic wave modulated according to first sign series, and receiving the first received signal by transmitting an ultrasonic wave modulated according to second sign series forcing a complementary shape with the first sign series, a movement estimating processor 21 folding a waveform signal according to the second sign series in the first received signal, folding a waveform signal according to the first sign series in the second received signal, and detecting a phase difference between these two signals, a command processor 23 for generating a compression signal by synthesizing a signal of respectively folding the first and second sign series in the first and second received signals, and constituted so as to correct a phase shift between the first received signal and the second received signal on the basis of the phase difference, and a detecting circuit 25 for forming an image on the basis of the compression signal.
