METHOD FOR TESTING FREQUENCY SYNTHESIZER OF RF RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A method for testing a frequency synthesizer of an RF receiver is provided to compare correctly input and output signals with each other by using an internal FM signal of a signal generator. CONSTITUTION: A waveform generator(99) obtains a triangular waveform according to a setting state of a modulating frequency, a modulation factor, and an offset voltage. An RF carrier including the triangular waveform is transferred. A signal included in the RF carrier is applied to the frequency synthesizer and an audio signal of low frequency is outputted therefrom. An oscilloscope(103) compares the waveform of the audio signal of the low frequency with the triangular waveform. The waveform of the audio signal of the low frequency and the same as the triangular waveform have the same waveform and different levels, respectively.
