MICROORGANISM COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR DEGRADING ORGANIC WASTE WITH THE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently degrading organic wastes, especially biological wastes, particularly a method for degrading the organic wastes, especially the biological wastes, in an extremely short time substantially without by-producing a stink during or after the degradation. SOLUTION: This microorganism composition comprises the following microorganisms: (1) Bacillus subtilis, (2) Bacillus sp. KB-02 (FERM P-18364), (3) Bacillus vallismortis, (4) Bacillus licheniformis, and (5) Bacillus pumilus. And, the method for degrading the organic wastes, especially biological wastes, is characterized by comprising the following processes: (i) a process for mixing the organic wastes, additional nutritive sources for the microorganisms, and the above-described microorganism composition, (ii) a process for heating the mixture obtained in the process (i) at about 40 deg.C to about 65 deg.C, and (iii) a process for keeping the mixture at an average temperature of about 40 to about 65 deg.C.
