PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized adhesive coater for binding the sheets of paper in which a roller is directly heated. SOLUTION: The adhesive coater provided with the roller 14 arranged to dip a part thereof in an adhesive 10 housed in an adhesive reservoir 12 and for coating the arranged one end side edge of a sheets bundle 54 of paper with the hot melt adhesive 10 in the adhesive reservoir 12 is provided with an electromagnetic induction heating coil 20 arranged in the vicinity of the roller 14 and a current supply apparatus 51 for supplying high frequency current to the electromagnetic induction heating coil 20, the roller 14 is constituted of a heat generating member generating heat by Joul heat of eddy current by high frequency magnetic flux generated by the electromagnetic induction heating coil 20 and is heated by supplying current to the electromagnetic induction heating coil 20 from the current supply apparatus to melt the adhesive 10 housed in the adhesive reservoir 12. |
