PURPOSE: A connector cap preventing the damage of a connector due to electrostatic discharge and a connector assembly using the same are provided to efficiently prevent electrostatic discharge to a top surface of the connector generated in handling the connector. CONSTITUTION: A connector assembly for an electric connector of a hard disk drive includes the electric connector for the hard disk drive having a top surface, a protective cap(46) covering the top surface of the electric connector, wherein the protective cap includes a top wall(52) corresponding to the top surface of the electric connector, an outer wall(50) extended from the top wall, and a pair of notches(54) formed at both ends of the protective cap.
