PURPOSE: A device for modulating sound is provided to allow players to play music with various intensities of sound by permitting the piano action equipped with a plurality of keys and hammer to move in forward and rearward directions. CONSTITUTION: A damper pedal(3) is arranged in the rear of a pedal mounting board(2) of a grand piano(1), and a link(4) is vertically hinge coupled to the rear end of the damper pedal. A hinge support(6) is arranged at both sides of the outer bottom surface of a key bed(5), and the key bed has a through hole(7). A stopper groove(12) is formed at the bottom surface of a key bed frame(9) of a piano action(8) corresponding to the through hole. A key bed reinforcement board(13) installed beneath the key bed has an operation space, and the hinge support has a vertical insertion portion which is penetrated through the through hole formed at the key bed and inserted into the stopper groove. A horizontal lever is connected to the center of a main body of a piano action moving member(19), and the piano action moving member having a hinge hole is mounted at the lower end of the vertical insertion portion. A spring(23) is arranged between the outer bottom surface of the key bed and the top surface of the piano action moving member.
