PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baby carrier serving for both holding a baby face to face and holding the baby facing front with which the baby can be safely and comfortably held in both face-to-face and facing-front directions. SOLUTION: The baby carrier serving for both holding the baby face to face and holding the baby facing front is provided with a carrier body 10 having a back pad part 11 supporting the back surface of the baby when holding the baby face to face, mounting means 30 attached to the carrier body 10 for mounting the carrier body 10 to the body of a user and an auxiliary back pad member 40 freely attachably and detachably mounted inside the back pad part 11 of the carrier body 10. The lower part 11a of the back pad part 11 is formed equivalently to the crotch width of the baby in the case of holding the baby facing front in which the breast and abdominal parts are supported by the back pad part 11 and the auxiliary back pad member 40 is formed equivalently to a hip pad width wider than the lower part 11a of the back pad part 11.
