SOLUTION: The food or drink having deodorizing effect or the deodorant for food contains a phenolic compound and a treated plant tissue having an oxidoreductase activity and composed of one or more components selected from (a) pulp obtained by squeezing the crushed juice of a plant tissue, (b) insoluble fraction produced by the centrifugal separation of squeezed juice of a plant tissue and (c) a sieved pulp obtained by filtering the squeezed juice of a plant tissue or a treated plant tissue obtained by drying one or more components of (a) to (c).
