PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment system utilizing activated carbon filtration tower is provided, in which activated carbon tank, coagulation reactor, settling tank, and secondary filter press of existing wastewater treatment process are substituted by activated carbon filtration tower so that chemical consumption for coagulation reaction is saved and only a small constructional area is required. CONSTITUTION: The treatment system comprises a primary wastewater tank(152) for receiving wastewater through a wastewater line(151); a primary microfilter(153) for removing fine contaminants contained the wastewater; a primary separation membrane(154) for removing organic matter of large molecule and color inducing matter contained in microfiltrated wastewater; a secondary wastewater tank(156) for receiving the wastewater of organic matter and color inducing matter removed; a secondary microfilter(157) for removing contaminants of fine particle contained in effluent of the primary separation membrane(154); a secondary separation membrane(158) for organic matter of small molecule and color inducing matter contained in secondary filtered wastewater; plural activated carbon filtration towers(161) for adsorbing color inducing matter and trace organic matter, the contaminated activated carbon being regenerated by wash water or air.
