PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for dividing and forming a food by which a food material continuously formed into a rodlike shape can be divided and the divided surfaces thereof can then be reshaped and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The surface of the food material F fed from a food material feeding means 9 and continuously formed into the rodlike shape can be reshaped by sliding shutter pieces of a second shutter 2 on divided surfaces of the food material F formed by closing operation of shutter pieces of a first shutter 1.
