PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction head of a vacuum cleaner provided with a miniaturized power brush with which alien substances are easily separated from cleaning objects and cleaning performance is improved. SOLUTION: The suction head is provided with a head case 61 in which a suction port 62 is formed on a bottom surface, the power brush 70 mounted inside the head case 61, whose one part is projected through the suction port 62 to the outside of the head case 61 and brought into contact with the cleaning objects, a pivotally supporting part 63, a supporting shaft 65, respective sleeve bearings 75 and 76 as a supporting means installed inside the head case 61 for supporting the power brush 70 so as to perform rotary motion and a linear motion, a movable frame 78 and a fixed frame 77 respectively fixed to the power brush 70 and the supporting shaft 65 inside the power brush 70 and a 2 degree-of-freedom motor 80 installed mutually corresponding to the movable frame 78 and the fixed frame 77 for rotationally driving the power brush 70 and linearly moving it simultaneously.
