The lock bars (2, 3, 4) are configured in such a way that they can be externally mounted on pre-manufactured casements or leaves (1). The guide means of the lock bars (2,3,4) engage with the edge strips (10) of a groove (11) pertaining to said casements or leaves and are introduced into said groove via the longitudinal opening thereof (11). Said guide means are elastically displaced or turned inwards and stopped in an assembly position in which engagement occurs with the respective edge strip (10). The lock bar mounting is used in windows or doors.
