PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disc drive that can make stabilized multi-track jump over many tracks without using a detector to find the amount of displace ment of the objective lens. SOLUTION: This optical disc drive has a 1st actuator 3 with an objective lens 2, a 2nd actuator 10 to move the 1st actuator 3 almost perpendicular to the tracks, a multi-jump control section 12 to make track jump while controlling the relative speed of the optical disc 1 and the light spot, and a cross-track counter 11 to count the number of tracks the light spot crosses during the multi-track jump. In this configuration, it drives the 2nd actuator 10 based on the number of tracks counted by the counter 11 during the multi-track jump and moves the 1st actuator 3.
