<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow not only constant but also sudden degradation in quality of a packet communication network to be simulated. SOLUTION: In order to simulate delay degradation, which is a kind of quality degradation of the packet communication network, a delay distribution function used in a delay time calculating section 108 is changed with lapse of time. For that, a delay distribution function storage section 110 stores a plurality of the delay distribution functions, and a delay distribution function selecting section 109 selects one of the delay distribution functions. This selection is performed by a packet number counter 104, a continuous packet number calculating section 106, and a continuous packet number distribution function 107 according to the comparison result of a received packet number to a count threshold changing probabilistically, so that a fluctuation of the quality degradation is simulated with quality degradation shifted to a plurality of different states.</p> |
