PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a load detector which has a simple structure at a low cost and error free performance. SOLUTION: This load detector comprises a metallic channel 14, a strip- shaped plus electrode 11 arranged on the channel 14 through a dielectric 13, and a minus electrode 12 of which the side faces of a band plate are bent downward and which is supported above the channel 14 through springs 15 at a predetermined distance from the plus electrode 11. The displacement of the minus electrode 12 is detected by using a displacement sensor 1 in which a DC potential difference is added between the both electrodes.
