PURPOSE: A buckle pretensioner for a seat belt is provided to effectively increase a restricting force of a seat belt and to solve a sealing problem at a rear end of a cylinder by pulling a buckle in multi-directions. CONSTITUTION: A guide hole(16) is formed in a base frame(10). A cylinder(11) is fixedly installed on the base frame(10). A gas generating section(12) generates an explosion in the cylinder(11) upon receiving an ignition signal from a control unit(5). A piston(13) is inserted into the cylinder(11) in such a manner that it is moved backwards when the gas generating section(12) is exploded in the cylinder. A pulley(14) is rotatably installed at a rear end of the piston(13). A center shaft of the pulley(14) is guided within the guide hole(16). One end of a cable(15) is connected to a buckle(3). The other end of the cable(15) is fixed to a cylinder formed at a front of the pulley(14).
