PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement data transmission system which reduces costs for labors and equipment for maintenance and management and improves reliability. SOLUTION: The measurement data transmission system 1 consists of a plurality of stations to be monitored 3 for measuring respective physical amounts 13a to 13c at a plurality of spots within a drainage 9, etc., and a central monitoring station for monitoring the entire drainage via these stations 3. Each station 3 has a measuring instrument 11 for measuring the respective physical amounts 13a to 13c within the drainage 9, a data logger 20 for recording the physical amounts 13a to 13c measured by this instrument 11 as measured data D with a measuring time Dt every five minutes, and communication equipments which edits the data D recorded in the logger 20 to be an e-mail M of a prescribed style and transmits this e-mail M to the side of the central monitoring station by using a portable telephone line network every hour, e.g. The central monitoring station 2 has communication equipment 6 for receiving the e-mail M and a processing part 7 for decoding and outputting the respective physical amounts 13a to 13c measured by the respective stations 3 by using the received e-mail M.
