PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device such as a plasma display device or the like, capable of easily executing a maintenance work or the like, while maintaining a state in which the device is supported by a stand. SOLUTION: The plasma display device comprises a plasma display panel unit 2 mounted at a rear part of a front cover 1, a rear-surface cover 3 mounted at a rear part of the unit, and a stand 4 mounted at the cover 3. The cover 3 is divided into a split cover 31 mounted at the stand 4, and a split cover 32 which is not mounted at the stand 4.
