<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and device for monitoring packet paths, by which a transport provider can easily conduct maintenance, fault location and grasp a responsibility terminating point. SOLUTION: This packet path monitoring system is provided with a plurality of communication units (1a) and a plurality of transmission lines each provided with an STM path and connected to each of a plurality of the communication units (1a). A packet path (200) for transfer of packets is assigned to the STM path provided to a plurality of the communication units (1a) and the transmission lines. Each of the communication units (1a) is provided with alarm transfer sections (2b, 2c) informing a predetermined communication unit (1a) among the communication units (1a) about a channel fault on the packet path (200).</p> |
