PURPOSE: Edge members of a receptacle which substantially reduces consumption amount of a material and improves productivity of a product are provided, and a method for forming the edge members is provided. CONSTITUTION: In ring shaped edge members which are formed in various sizes and envelopes the upper circumference of a receptacle corresponding to each sizes, the edge members of the receptacle are characterized in that a metal panel to both surface of which protection sheets(16,18) are adhered is cut to the ring shaped edge members(10) having different sizes by a plurality of cutting lines forming a concentric circle, each of the edge members(10) are formed in such a way that burrs(12,14) of inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the edge members(10) are projected in the same direction, and the protection sheets(16,18) are adhered onto both surfaces of the edge members(10) so that flaws are prevented from being generated on the opposite surface irrespective of a projecting direction of the burrs(12,14), thereby using all of the members as the edge members(10).
