PURPOSE: A slag cutting device for preventing carry over of slag in steelmaking refining is provided to prevent carry over of slag due to vortex generated during tapping at a high temperature by constructing the slag cutting device comprising a head, a central shaft, and the lower part of the head or the outer surface layer of the slag cutting device. CONSTITUTION: In a slag cutting device for preventing carry over of slag and tapping molten metal only during tapping of molten metal in steelmaking refining, the slag cutting device for preventing carry over of slag in steelmaking refining is characterized in that a head is manufactured of a hollow steel material having a funnel, cone, triangular pyramid, or quadrangular pyramid shape, a steel plate is fixed to the middle of the inside of the head, a plurality of holes are formed on the upper surface of the head, and the surface layer of the head is coated with a MgO-Al2O3-C based refractory material that is not melted down at a temperature of 1700 deg.C or more after perpendicularly bonding iron rods to upper and lower parts of the head by screw inserting or welding method, wherein the iron rod connecting the central part of the head is bonded onto the lower surface of the head so that the outer part of the iron rod connected to the lower part of the head is enveloped by a hollow refractory sleeve, and the lowermost part of the iron rod is fixed by a fixing pin.
