CONTROL METHOD FOR AUXILIARY ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC PUMP IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately start an auxiliary electro-hydraulic pump driven by a sensorless brushless DC motor. SOLUTION: A motor which drives the auxiliary electro-hydraulic pump in a period in which an engine is at a stop is the sensorless brushless DC motor. An operation to start the pump is performed at the minimum control voltage. If start fails, the start operation is repeated at specified time intervals to the extent that a specified number of times is not exceeded. After the pump is successfully started, constant-current control is exercised.
