SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser device 1 is equipped with a Peltier cooler 9 which cools down or heats a semiconductor laser element 2, a current detector 11 which detects a change in a drive current Iop applied to the semiconductor laser element 2, and a temperature control unit 12 which controls the Peltier cooler 9 so as to enable a relation between the measured temperature of a temperature measuring element 5 and the detected drive current of the current detector 11, to satisfy the relation between the drive current Iop which makes the wavelength of a laser beam oscillated by the semiconductor laser element 2 nearly constant and the measured the temperature Ts of the temperature measuring element 5.
