PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant(PDA) without complicating the operation for multi-functions and miniaturization, which enables to avoid digital divide. SOLUTION: An operation unit 2 is connected to a display unit 3, of which relative position to the other is freely changeable. A rotary position detection sensor 14 is mounted on a hinge 4 connecting the operation unit 2 and the display unit 3. Each application program stored in a memory card mounted on a mount 2C corresponds to each predetermined relative position between the operation unit 2 and the display unit 3 which are mutually connected. In accordance with the relative position detected by the rotary position detection sensor 14, a corresponding application program is activated automatically.
