PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing (collection) system which can provide or collect information for or from users through a path other than an information transmission medium. SOLUTION: On an information providing (collecting) server device 10, information ID's and provided information corresponding thereto are recorded and a user is allowed to listen to an information ID by using the information transmission medium 12. The user accesses the information providing (collection) server device 10 through a portable telephone 14 and sends the information ID obtained through the information transmission medium 12 to obtain the provided information. The user having obtained the provided information is given certain points, which are managed by the information providing (collection) server device 10.
