PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control circuit which is capable of coping with the individual characteristics of laser diodes and changes in laser diodes over aging. SOLUTION: A laser diode control device which controls the emission output of a laser diode on the basis of temperature data is composed of a drive circuit (12) which is connected to a laser diode to supply a drive current to it, a digital storage means (18) which is capable of previously storing the proper drive currents of the laser diodes under various temperature conditions, and a central processing unit which is connected to the digital storage means and controls the laser diode through the drive circuit (12) on the basis of temperature data and the proper drive current values obtained from the digital storage means.
