摘要 A hollow cylindrical drum rotates about its axis and has a peripheral wall made of two concentric perforated metal sheets (22, 23) enclosing a layer of adsorbant (24). Longitudinal fixed separators (41) divide the drum into a regeneration chamber (43) with part of the drum wall heated and a treatment chamber (44). Ambient air is supplied to the two chambers in separate circuits There are also means (33, 34) of driving the drum in rotation and electrical heaters (39, 40) heat part of the wall of the drum in the regeneration chamber. Means of circulating air (18, 37) blows ambient air and divides the flow into two separate flows. One goes to a first air circulation circuit (18, 37) which brings air to be heated in contact with the heater, then passing radially across the regeneration chamber before being evacuated. The other circuit (17) supplies air to pass radially across the treatment chamber before being evacuated. The two air circuits are designed to separate the two air outlet flows. The air passes through the two chambers in opposite directions. The electrical heaters are outside the drum and the air flow into the regeneration chamber passes over the heaters first. Air for treatment enters the drum axially and leaves radially. The apparatus is enclosed in a casing (2) which captures the air leaving the drum and channels it to the outlet. The inlet air enters a box (13) and is sent to two outlets, one (17) to the treatment circuit and one (18) to the regeneration circuit. The drum is on longitudinal rods extending outside the drum onto rollers which are driven round by friction via a longitudinal external axle. A ring at each end of the drum holds the metal sheets in place and end plates close the volume contained by the drum. The separators enclosing the regeneration chamber meet at an angle of 120 deg . at the axle. The apparatus acts can be used as a dehumidifier using a silica-based desiccant as the adsorbant or an air purifier using active carbon or zeolite as the adsorbant.
