PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetic induction exothermic body wherein heat is efficiently generated by electromagnetic induction and wherein the degree of freedom in designing a layer constitution and a layer thickness is large, and further obtain an image forming device wherein transcription and fixation of the toner image onto a fixing device and a recording medium superior in durability are simultaneously carried out by heating the toner image in a superior efficiency by utilizing the same. SOLUTION: An intermediate transcription body 6 possessed by the image forming device is composed of three layers that are a base layer 6a composed of metal whose proper resistance value and the specific magnetic permeability is high, an exothermic layer 6b whose proper resistance value and the specific magnetic permeability is sufficiently lower than these of the base layer, and the surface mold release layer 6c. When the intermediate transcription body passes through a position opposing to an alternating magnetic field generating device 14, an alternating current is applied to a magnetized coil 14c and a magnetic flux repeats generation and annihilation in the surroundings and an eddy current is generated in the exothermic layer. As for the exothermic layer, the proper resistance value is small, but the skin resistance is large because the layer thickness is sufficiently lower than that of a skin depthδ, and a sufficient calorific value can be obtained. On the other hand, the magnetic flux which has penetrated through the exothermic layer forms a closed path via the base layer which has a large specific magnetic permeability.
