PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a problem that it has been impossible to notify that an e-mail can not be received due power off, faults, failure, etc., on a receiving terminal of portable communication terminal. SOLUTION: Portable communication terminals 1 and 10, base stations 2 and 9, packet switch units 3 and 8, a packet communication network 4, an e-mail server 5 with a control part 6 and a memory part 7, a gateway 11 and the Internet network 12 are included, and a user of the portable communication terminals sets previously a selection for enabling notification, which indicates whether to enable the function of an e-mail notification system, an address information for indicating the mail address of an opposite party, and contents of notification message, and then transmits an e-mail with the set contents to the e-mail server to store it in the memory part. When perceiving that the e-mail can not be received due to power off at the arrival, the e-mail server refers to the selection for enabling notification and the address information stored in the memory part, and transmits the contents of notification message to the sender when the selection for enabling notification is set to enable it and a sender address is satisfied by the conditions of address information.
