PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of notifying a customer of the estimation including accurate carriage on a printed matter. SOLUTION: A client 30 who requests the estimation of a printed matter, a first server 40 in which carriage data are stored, and a second server 10 for controlling printing devices 20-22 are connected through the Internet in this printing system. The second server is provided with a means for acquiring a print file and a print attribute description file from the client, a means for acquiring carriage data from the first server, a means for calculating a retrieval key based on the print attribute description file or based on the print attribute description file and the print file, a means for retrieving the carriage data by using the retrieval key, and for extracting the carriage, a means for preparing estimation including the carriage, a means for notifying the client of the estimation, and a means for controlling a printer to print the print file according to a print request announced from the client. |
