PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm points which are recorded by using a conventional POS register, etc., without introducing any expensive device and to make usable collected points. SOLUTION: A system is equipped with a server 1 on the Internet which accumulates points of respective members in a database 1a according to member information for identifying the respective members and a bar code reader 3a which is connected to a portable telephone terminal 3 connectable to the Internet by using radio communication. The bar code reader 3a reads member information which is recorded on a member card C and includes a bar code B and connection information for connecting to the server on the Internet and then the portable telephone terminal 3 is connected to the server 1 through the Internet; and the server 1 performs retrieval from the database 1a according to the member information sent from the portable telephone terminal 3 and sends information regarding the points of the member back to the portable telephone terminal 3. |
