PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless controller which enables use of a portable terminal (short-distance radio wave transmitting/receiving function incorporated type) such as a portable telephone set owned by an individual even though a dedicated remote controller is eliminated. SOLUTION: A controller 4 for an air conditioner is provided with a short-distance radio wave transmitting/receiving part 4-4. The short-distance radio wave transmitting/ receiving part 4-4 has a short-distance radio wave transmitting/receiving function (Bluetooth) being a next generation radio communication standard. If a portable telephone set 5 having the short-distance radio wave transmitting/receiving function comes into a communication area of the controller 4 for an air conditioner (within 10 m), with the short-distance radio wave transmitting/receiving function, data are transmitted and received between the controller 4 for an air conditioner and the portable telephone set 5. When an inherent device number specifying an owner is sent from the portable telephone set 5, the controller 4 for an air conditioner checks whether or not the device number is included in a preregistered identification number (device number) group, decides that the portable telephone set 5 is a setting allowable terminal if the device number is included, and receives setting data from the portable telephone set 5. |
