PURPOSE: An optical pickup device is provided to improve the work efficiency by writing or reading data at or from layers of a multi-layer disk at the same time, thereby efficiently using a structure of the multi-layer disk and implementing a high-speed optical disk driving device. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup device for a multi-layer disk(10) includes optical devices forming optical spots on the optical disk by generating a beam from a light source, and receiving the reflected rays of the optical spots for converting into electric signals, wherein the optical devices are installed corresponding to each layer of the multi-layer disk in number and each optical device includes a laser diode(20,40) for generating the beam, a splitter(22,42) for changing a transmission path of the beam according to a direction of the beam, a collimator lens(24,44) converting the beam received from the splitter into a horizontal beam, a focus lens(26,46) for focusing the horizontal beam on the optical disk, and a photo diode(28,48) receiving the reflected ray from the optical disk for converting into the electric signal. |
