PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent currents flowing in upper and lower enclosures of a portable radio apparatus from giving adverse effect on the characteristics of an internal antenna. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises upper and lower enclosures 1, 2 mutually insulted to block a high frequency current from flowing therebetween, a contained antenna 12 disposed near a hinge 19 for coupling the upper frame 1 with the lower enclosure 2 in the lower enclosure 2 and a connection part 18 composed of a flexible wiring board for connecting circuits in the upper enclosure 1 with circuits in the lower enclosure 2; the flexible wiring board having a length enough to shift by at least 90 degrees the phase of currents flowing from the upper or lower enclosure 1, 2 to the hinge 19.
