PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide audio equipment in which reproducing of compressed audio data is facilitated, and to provide an attachable and detachable panel to be provided in the equipment. SOLUTION: The audio equipment 100 is provided with the attachable and detachable panel 10 in which a front portion of the equipment is made freely attachable and detachable with respect to an equipment main body 11. A storage device HDD 1 or the like is provided on the panel 10. The panel 10 is removed from the body 11, connected to a personal computer 12 through a connecting cable 7 and compressed audio data in an MP 3 system or the like are downloaded into the HDD 1 from the computer 12. When the panel 10 is mounted on the body 11, audio data stored in the HDD 1 are reproduced by the equipment 100.
