PURPOSE: A method for changing a skin of a display in a cell phone is provided to change the skin of the display edited or selected by a user according to originating or incoming telephone numbers, and to edit the display to the taste of the user. CONSTITUTION: When an originating or incoming call is generated, whether a telephone number corresponding to the call is stored in a cell phone is decided(ST1). If so, whether a specific group including the telephone number exists is decided(ST2). If so, whether a skin corresponding to the group exists is checked(ST3). If a skin corresponding to the group exists, a current skin displayed on a display of the cell phone is changed to the skin corresponding to the group including the telephone number and the step ST1 is returned(ST4). If the telephone number corresponding to the call is not stored in the cell phone in the step ST1, if a specific group including the telephone number does not exist in the step ST2, or if a skin corresponding to the group does not exist in the step ST4, a current skin on the display is changed to a standard skin and the step ST1 is returned(ST5).
